Dr Sid, Kcee And Saka Encourage MTN Subscribers To Update There Simcard - see photo
Sidney Esiri aka Dr Sid, Five Star Music artiste, Kingsley Okonkwo aka Kcee and Afeez Oyetoro aka Saka was Yesterday pay a surprise visits to the MTN mega centers to encourage subscribers on the MTN network to register their mobile SIM cards in line with Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) directive.
In Port Harcourt, Kcee was on ground at the 3 mega centres in the city, where he interacted with the subscribers, encouraging them to update and validate their SIM information.
In Lagos, Dr Sid visited the mega registration centre in Festac. The excited customers were thrilled when the artiste stepped into the venue and announced that he’ll be registering subscribers himself all day.
Saka who earlier in the week visited the Adamasigba Stadium, Ibadan, Oyo State, showed up at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Mega Registration centre in Abeokuta, Ogun State. He also took time out to register the subscribers as well.
More celebrities who are MTN ambassadors also expected to go to other mega centres include Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Davido, Harrysong, Iyanya, Kcee, Nkem Owoh and others.
Following series of complaints from some subscribers over its registration exercise, MTN revamped the existing registration centres and introduced the mega registration centres nationwide.

Comic Actor, Dede One Day to be buried February 13
Nollywood Actor Onwuzurike Ogubie popularly known as Dede One Day will be buried on February, 2016.
According to family sources the late actor would be buried on Saturday 13th February 2016 at his home town – Umuagwuru Mbieri, Imo State.
Dede One Day reported died on Monday, December 14, 2015 as a result of high blood pressure.

Nollywood Actor Walter Anga Loses Girlfriend
The Port Harcourt based actor has just lost one of his dear friends, Vivian Chekwube. Anga made the news known when he shared one of the pictures he took with Late Vivian and wrote:
“He spoke well who said that graves are the footprints of angels. May your heart and soul find peace and comfort. Heaven is a place nearby, so there’s no need to say goodbye….RIP my dear friend.”
She just graduated from the university this year an was involved in a road accident. according to news report she gave up in the hospital.

Dagrin's Dad Gets Chieftaincy Title
Foremost indigenous rapper late Oladapo Olaonipekun fondly called Dagrin is in the news again.
His father, Comrade Olaniyi Abolaji Olaonipekun has been honoured with a chietaincy title in Ogun state.
He was made the Balogun of Alabelapo Land in Itori in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State by the traditional ruler of the land, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Adeola Ishau Balogun, the Olu of Oluke Orile on December 5.
Stating the reason behind the chieftaincy title bestowed on Dagrin’s dad the Olu of Oluke said Comrade Olaonipekun had not only brought development to the land through his notable ventures as a leader but has also contributed to the development of the youth of the community through various idea based activities hence his decision to crown him as the Balogun of Alabelapo land, Itori.

The Nigeria nollywood actress mercy Johnson,Yesterday 11th of Dec 2015 Gave Birth to a lovely Baby Girl in United States of America (USA). Her Husband Said the Following some minutes after the arrival of the Baby.
‘With my Hands Lifted up and my Mouth Filled with Praise with a Heart of THANKSGIVING I will Worship you oh Lord. I Hurriedly left Nigeria to witness the birth of my Baby, I was airborne when the Baby arrived. I’m right in the hospital at University of Maryland (St.Joseph Medical Centre) Baltimore. My wife and baby doing very well. Its a sister for Purity.Help me give thanks to God in this month of THANKSGIVING. God bless you all’.

Actor Ozor Akubueze
Ozor Akubueze was a veteran in the Nigerian movie industry and died on
Friday, July 10, 2015, in Lagos, after a long battle with Pancreas
disease. It has been learnt that Akubueze, who featured in several
Nollywood movies shot in Enugu, last year underwent surgery, with the
bills covered by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).
Actor Muna Obiekwe
Nollywood actor Muna Obiekwe was one of the most versatile and talented actors in the movie industry before the passed away on January 18, 2015, in Lagos. Muna was reported to have died from a kidney disease that was not properly taken care of due to lack of funds. He survived by his wife and children.
Actor Mufutai Sanni (Ajigijaga)
Nollywood actor, Mufutau Sanni, popularly known as Ajigijaga died Friday, July 31, 2015, at his residence in Agege, Lagos following injuries he sustained from an accident he was involved in previous weeks back. The movie thespian Ajigijaga died at the age of 60.
Actor Peter Bunor
Peter Bunor was also one of Nigeria greatest actors of all time, who passed away on May 2, 2015 after battling with stroke for several years. Before he died, Peter had complained for years, accusing his colleagues for abandoning him after he fell ill.
Saying: “Since this thing happened there has been no single actor that called me to ask about my condition. It is a shame on their part. Would they say they don’t know that I am sick? ‘I had a stroke and that was the end of it” He told Vanguard in 2013.
He was laid to rest in the company of family, friends and colleagues in the movie industry on May 30, 2015.
Actor Fashola Funsho Ogunremi
Barely five weeks after the death of veteran Yoruba actor Ajigijaga, actor Fashola Funsho Ogunremi joined him on September 10, 2015. Popularly known as Skede was well known for playing the role of a police officer thus the stage name Inspector Skede.
Skede was said to have been battling with two deadly diseases, congestive cardiac failure and diabetics both ailment were said to have left a big hole in his pocket. The ailments which later claimed his life was said to have manifested in him since 2011 and he was alleged to have resulted to self-medication when he could not afford hospital bills.
Before his death, attempts were made his colleagues in Yoruba movie genre of Nollywood to raise N2.5m for him to get appropriate medical care. Inspector Skede was said to have given up the ghost in the wee hours of today at his house, 4, Wey Street, Mushin, Lagos.

Jidenna Bags First Grammy Nomination
Singer Jidenna has bagged a Grammy nomination for his song, Classic Man featuring labelmate Roman GainArthur. The song was nominated for the Best Rap/Song Collaboration alongside songs from Kendrick Lamar, Nicky Minaj, Big Sean and Common.
Jidenna shared his excitement over being nominated by tweeting: “Our 1st Grammy Nomination. I’m honored! I guess I need to start looking for a date now.”
The song released on the EP, Wondaland Presents: The Eephus, also has a remix featuring fellow nominee Kendrick Lamar.
