The Reaction Of Nigerians For The Christmas Tree That Cost Imo State Govt N600 Million
Earlier this month, Governor Rochas Okorocha reportedly approved N600 million for this Christmas tree and New Year decorations.
The cost is really shocking considering the fact that the state workers have not been paid salaries for several months.
Undoubtedly, the tree and its price have triggered emotional reactions among Nigerians who started blaming Governor Okorocha, appealing to his conscience.
Meanwhile, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, a former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, also criticized the governor for spending such huge sum of money on Christmas tree and decorations.
“It is ridiculous and indeed smacks of insensitivity for this government to spend over N600 million on decorations when families can no longer afford their meals and basic needs as a result of non-payment of salaries, pensions and other entitlements,” he noted.

ReplyDeleteWith this action, okorocha has proved his level of madness and wicked. This Okorocha is owing road contractors since 2012. some of the contractors have died because of his wickedness. Though, we should blame the Imolites because Obasanjo condemned okorocha. OBJ in 2011 said to us that he gave us a small thief and we refused and chosen big thief. Okorocha has proved OBJ correct. with all these abnormalities. Okorocha must BUZZ OUT because of this tree, civil servants he is owing and the road contractors he is owing too. Lets wash Buhari's action towards this too much public money intoxication by Okorocha
ReplyDeleteI Knew of the contractor that handled 2.1 km road in Imo since 2012 and he had been paid a dim and that man had told okorocha many times to pay him and upon okorocha's questions to the contractor which he answered satisfactorily and showed him all the documents still okorocha refused to pay that man till date. That contractor does not have one naira now to transport himself to Lagos just to celebrate the yuletide with his wife and children. In fact, the wrath of God is upon Okorocha and he must regret. If Buhari did do anything about this okorocha's stupid consumerism it all means APC's change mantra is rubbish. APC part is now called: Advanced pure criminals. God in " Deuteronomy 24 verse 14 and 15 made it clear for okorocha to pay all the people he is owing.
