WAEC Appoints Mr Isaac Adenipekun As new Head of National Office
 
The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has appointed Mr Isaac Adenipekun as its new Head of National Office.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Public Affairs Officer of the council, Mr Demianus Ojijeogu, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Lagos State.
Adenipekun’s appointment is coming on the heels of the retirement of Mr Charles Eguridu, the immediate past head of national office.

Eguridu retired from the service of the council on Tuesday.
According to the statement, Adenipekun hails from Osun State and graduated from the then University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife) in 1983.

 he statement said that Adenipekun bagged a B.Sc (Hons) degree in Political Science and also obtained an M.Sc degree in International Relations from the same university in 1987.

It said that the new WAEC boss in Nigeria joined the services of the body on October 3, 1989 as an Assistant Registrar II.

The statement added that he rose through the ranks to become Senior Assistant Registrar in 2000 and a Principal Assistant Registrar in 2005.
According to the statement, Adenipekun was promoted to the rank of a Deputy Registrar in 2011
