President Muhhamdu Buhari inaugurates Two permanent secretaries on Monday, December 7,

According to Naij Reporter Buhari had approved the appointments of 18 new federal permanent secretaries and a few days later, he inaugurated 16 of them.

The remaining two were said to be unavoidably absent at the ceremony.
They both took their oaths of office and allegiance, after which they signed the oath register before President Buhari who counter-signed.

They took their leave shortly before the commencement of an emergency meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

The president on November 9, fired the former permanent secretaries.
Five of them are reportedly set to be investigated after reports surfaced that they were involved in corruption.

Shortly after administering the oath of office on the 16 permanent secretaries he inaugurated weeks back, the president tasked them to see their appointment as an emergency call to duty as they came at a time when the nation’s economy was ailing.

Two weeks ago, Winifred Oyo-Ita, the acting Head of Service of the Federation (HOS), advised the newly appointed permanent secretaries to be dedicated to their duties and work hand-in-hand with the ministers.
